 About the Society

The Kerala Chapter of Indian Chest Society was constituted as a state unit of Indian Chest Society and registered on 25/8/2017 as per registration Number: EKM / TC / 604 / 2017 under the chairmanship of Dr Ravindran Chetambath with Dr Rajesh V as secretary and Dr Paramez AR as treasurer. The aim of the society is to implement various activities of the national body in the state. This includes conducting continuing medical education for practicing chest specialists, conducting awareness programme for the public, health care activities and medical camps at various places in the state. We also cater to paramedics by providing trainings in various procedures like pulmonary function and endoscopy. Kerala state chapter had the unique opportunity to organize the national conference- NAPCON 2019- in Kerala in 2019. At present we have 136 members registered as life members in the Kerala state chapter.

  About the Journal

Journal of advanced lung health is the official publication of Kerala state chapter of Indian chest Society. This is being started to publish quality articles including research work, interesting and rare case reports and recent updates on various topics related to respiratory medicine. We believe that this will give a platform to the members of Kerala chapter of Indian chest society to publish their research work and their clinical cases which may be of interest to others. This will improve their clinical skill and help in show casing their work to bring it into the public domain. We plan to launch it as an online open access journal with limited print copies to the members of the society. Later we plan to expand the print platform to be available for all those who request for it. It is our aim to publish high quality articles after double blinded peer review. We have an experienced editorial team both National and international to select and edit submitted articles.

Digital Archiving

Wolters Kluwer Medknow provides for long-term digital preservation through two primary partnerships, Portico and CLOCKSS.

Portico is a leading digital preservation service worldwide. The content is preserved as an archival version and is not publically accessible via Portico, but is provided when required under specific conditions, such as discontinuation of the collection or catastrophic failure of the website.

CLOCKSS will enable any library to maintain their own archive of content from Wolters Kluwer Medknow and other publishers, with minimal technical effort and using cheaply available hardware.

Ahead of Print policy

Articles published online under the Ahead of Print model are considered published and can be cited and quoted using the DOI as the reference source. Wolters Kluwer Medknow has a policy that changes will not be made after publication of an article without following accepted procedures for making corrections to the scientific record.

Advertisements

While advertisements are crucial to this journal to be able to keep all content free for everyone, ethical considerations are in place to ensure the integrity of the journal and its content:

  • "Pop-up" and "banner" ads appear on a random, rotating basis. The advertiser has no control or input over the pages where their ads appear.
  • The Editorial Board has full and final approval over the content of all advertisements.
  • Advertisers will never be shown any manuscripts or other content prior to publication.

JALH takes pride in providing digital and print version of a medical journal exclusively dealing with pulmonary Medicine, Allergy, Sleep Medicine and Critical Care for you and your colleagues. We intend to provide state of the art articles in the form of original research work, Review articles, Case report and image sessions.
